Ashurst Morris Crisp has beaten a host of top City firms including Clifford Chance, Linklaters, Travers Smith Braithwaite and Allen & Overy to advise private equity giant Candover Investment on its £630m bid for a 75% stake in Belgian hygiene products manufacturer Ontex.
It is one of the biggest deals Ashursts has advised Candover on and provides the firm with a foothold to continue to advise one of Europe’s biggest private equity houses ahead of magic circle opposition.
