Cable & Wireless has just filed its first report under the new Sarbanes-Oxley Act with the help of US law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. “Caught it just in time,” says general counsel Dan Fitz.
Fitz is used to working with US lawyers. One of a growing band of US-qualified Ftse 100 heads of legal (he is also qualified in the UK), Fitz was based at US law firm Pillsbury Winthrop before he joined the telecommunications giant.
