AXA Investment Managers: French-qualified Franck Courmont has been appointed to the new role of global head of legal. Courmont joined AXA last month from the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development where he was London-based senior counsel and team leader. He replaces former head of legal Kenneth Greig who left to be director of technical services at Scottish Widows Investment Partnerships.

Chevron Texaco: The head of the US Justice Department’s antitrust division, Charles James, is joining Chevron Texaco as vice president and general counsel in December. James, who is currently assistant attorney general in the US, has taken up the new role after little more than one year in his current post.
