Law socThe Law Society’s ruling board has survived the no confidence vote forced on Chancery Lane by high-profile campaigning solicitor Imran Khan at its July annual general meeting.

After a postal ballot of the whole profession, Khan’s four motions, all highly critical of the society’s establishment, were voted down.
As well as the confidence vote, there were motions calling for separate inquiries into alleged institutional racism at the society and allegations of financial irregularity and improper allocation of funds.
