Richards ButlerRichards Butler has become the latest City firm to transfer corporate finance assistants into more active practice areas as firms wrestle with the continued lull in commercial activity.

The firm has moved two three- to five-year qualified corporate lawyers into its insolvency practice and hiked up its client secondments from six to nine.
Richard Butler is also planning to move a number of lawyers to its Paris office, which has been identified as a key area for investment.
