Lawyers and their firms are renowned for paying intense attention to detail and pride themselves on noticing minute errors in documents.
So, imagine the anger of a PR worker at a firm in the City, who phoned Legal Week with news of a mistake on our website.

“You’ve spelt the surname of our new hire wrong,” she snarled.
“Are you sure? It is spelt like that on the previous
firm’s website,” the hack replied.
“Oh, hang on. Yes, that is right. Funny that, because all of the partners involved
OK’d our press release with the name spelt wrong,” came the answer.
Rumours that the firm has now employed a part-time reading and writing teacher
are yet to be confirmed.
