Denton Wilde Sapte has cemented its relationship with MBNA Europe Bank by advising it on an £800m deal to acquire the Alliance & Leicester (A&L) credit card portfolio.
This is the third high-profile UK deal Dentons has advised MBNA on – deploying its established credit card and retail finance team of banking partner Ian Roberts and corporate partner George Sandars, who were assisted by corporate partner Helen Cleavel and tax partners Judith Harger and Jane Douglas. The MBNA in-house legal team was led by director Donna Pumfrey.
