McDermotts hits Duesseldorf as US firms sustain German push

The dramatic expansion of US firms in Germany stepped up a gear this month with McDermott Will & Emery, Jones Day Reavis & Pogue and Baker & McKenzie all hiring senior lawyers for their expanding German operations.

The flurry of activity kicked off as Chicago’s McDermotts finalised plans to launch a new practice in Duesseldorf, adding to the firm’s existing Munich office, which was launched in January.
