MacRoberts prepares for English launch as top Scots firms focus on London market

MacRoberts has pledged to launch an English law practice in London within 12 months, becoming the latest major Scots firm to move south of the border.
The firm, which has offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, is aiming to either merge with a niche London firm or grow a London office from scratch.
MacRoberts chairman Ian Dickson told Legal Week that a London office “is number one on our agenda”.
