Slaughter and May corporate partner Oliver Wareham has advised The Canada Life Assurance Company on its £60m acquisition of the risk group of Royal & SunAlliance, which was advised by Allen & Overy corporate partner Michael McDonald.
Linklaters corporate partner William Buckley has advised defence vehicles manufacturer Alvis on its £16m acquisition of armoured vehicles maker Vickers Defence Systems from Rolls Royce. The vendor instructed Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer partner Graham Nicholson. The deal is subject to regulatory approval.
