Law SocHigh profile campaigning solicitor and outspoken Law Society critic Imran Khan has been elected onto the Law Society’s council to represent immigration lawyers.

Khan, who last month led a rebellion against Chancery Lane that saw him accuse it of racism and sexism, was elected to the seat on 21 August after winning more than a third of the vote against nine other candidates. Elections are held by the 105-member main council of the Law Society.
