Figures released by Legal Director’s sister title Legal Week this month reveal that the downturn is beginning to hit the law firms.
For the first time since 1999, profits per partner at the top 50 firms have gone down by an average of 0.9%. Given the economic climate during the past 18 months, there are no surprises there. Last year the top 50 firms increased their profits by 14%.
