UK Law Society calls for changes in US Bar rules

Hopes have been raised that Washington DC’s restrictive bar rules will be eased as UK lawyers gear up to press for further liberalisation.

The Law Society of England & Wales is to submit a paper to the District of Columbia Bar (DC Bar) later this year calling for foreign-qualified lawyers to be allowed immediately to sit bar exams needed to practise local law.
