The Bahamas’ leading sectors are banking (second only to the Cayman Islands among offshore jurisdictions), mutual funds and trust management.
The Bahamas is home to over 400 banks with combined assets of more than $200bn. It is one of the leading offshore jurisdictions for mutual funds with at least $70bn under management. Trust management is also prominent, with more than half of the Bahamas’ 400 banks offering trust
services alongside banking activity.
