Barclays legal chief to stand down

Howard Trust, Barclays’ group general counsel and group secretary, has announced that he is to leave the bank next year.

Trust, who has been with Barclays since 1989 and was appointed the group’s first general counsel in 1995, is one of the most high profile in-house lawyers in the UK.
