The Law Society’s attempt to rehabilitate its reputation suffered a major blow on 18 July after a vote on four motions attacking Chancery Lane’s establishment was forced through at its annual general meeting.
High profile criminal solicitor Imran Khan led a group of campaigners in pushing through a postal vote of the whole profession on the motions, which accuse the society of racism, sexism, undemocratic process and financial mis-management.
