Company lawyers have labelled the Government’s White Paper on company law a damp squib that is unlikely to boost enterprise.
The Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) White Paper, Modernising Company Law, was unveiled this week after four years and is billed as the biggest review of company law for 150 years. It aims to decrease the burden on small firms, create a more transparent framework and improve corporate governance.
