Los-Angeles giant O’Melveny & Myers is set to nearly double its New York arm with the takeover of private equity boutique O’Sullivan. The top 20 US firm gearing up for a vote on the merger later this month.
The 1,200 lawyer O’Melvenys already has a New York practice with over 140 lawyers but mainly focuses on litigation, bankruptcy, IP and transactional work. O’Melvenys has signed a letter of intent setting out terms and is due to vote on the merger at the end of the month.
