Equant Group: Maurice Murphy, chief counsel for global telecoms operator Equant Group, joined SJ Berwin last month. SJ Berwin head of media and communications Nigel Palmer said that Murphy, who is an Irish-qualified lawyer, would be made up to partner as soon as he qualifies under English law.
Visa International: Cambridge and Northampton firm Hewitson Becke + Shaw has hired Visa International senior legal counsel Luisa Leone as a partner. Leone will work primarily in competition law and sports sponsorship.
