Simmons & Simmons has released end of year figures showing a 5.5% increase in turnover, but a 9% drop in profits per partner.

The results see the City firm’s fee income up by £8m on its 2000-01 figure, from £149m to £157m, with average profits per partner falling from £412,000 to £375,000. The firm is working from an equity partner total of 133, up from 125 last year.
