Business law firms face five-fold increases in their insurance premiums this summer – far higher than even the most gloomy predictions – according to insurance quotes seen by Legal Week.
The rise is due to a combination of double-digit increases in the premiums for the first compulsory £1m of cover, plus an increase in the cost of excess insurance.
