City of London Law Society chairman David Wyld has left Macfarlanes to set up shop on his own.
Wyld, a former head of litigation at the firm, left Macfarlanes in March to set up his own practice, David Wyld & Co.

Wyld, 59, said that after 22 years with Macfarlanes he had already passed the point when many City partners retired. However, he had chosen to keep working and had decided to set up his own practice.
