Filipino first boosts A&O's Asian presence

UK banking giant Allen & Overy (A&O) has become the first leading City firm to set up a base in the Philippines after hiring two local lawyers to run an office in Manila.

The two-lawyer Philippines office, which was set up last year but not announced until now, is headed by legal consultant Andy Bautista.
