The majority of law firms have defied the
economic slowdown by making up at least as many partners as they did last year, according to this week’s Big Question.
Asked how many partners their firms had made up this year, 24% of the Big Question’s panel of 100 leading solicitors said they had made up the same number as in 2001 while, even more impressively, 39% said the rate of partner promotions had increased.
