Los Angeles-based Latham & Watkins has stepped up its dramatic European invasion by hiring five partners from the Frankfurt office of German firm Wessing – as it finalises plans to launch an Italian office.
The firm’s latest senior hires see the firm bolstering its infant Frankfurt office, which it has been building since February 2001 when it took on the Hamburg arm of the now dissolved German firm Gaedertz.
