The London office of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom has advised on one of its biggest UK law M&A deals, after winning a competitive tender conducted by the Texas-based Azurix Corporation.
Skaddens was instructed by Azurix on the £1.24bn sale of Wessex Water to YTL Utilities. Skaddens partners Alan Murray-Jones and Michael Hatchard led the deal, which attracted four major bidders.
Skaddens pitched for and won the work at the end of last year.
