Norton Rose has allowed departing acquisition finance partner Andrew Bamber to join Allen & Overy (A&O) in June while forcing the remaining members of the defecting four-partner team to serve a full 12-month notice period at the firm, Legal Week can reveal.
Bamber – the high billing contact partner for Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) – departed from Norton Rose within two weeks of tendering his surprise resignation in January amid rumours of a permanent breakdown in relations between himself and management.
