The first edition of this book (1995) quickly established itself as the leading text in the field of extradition. This second edition builds on the first and greatly expands on the treatment of the subject. The author has not only referred to all the authorities (including unreported decisions), but, where appropriate, he has gone on to express his own opinion and criticisms.

The cornerstone of UK extradition proceedings is the Extradition Act 1989. It is notoriously difficult to interpret and requires a thorough knowledge of the relevant case law.
