East Coast firms raid the Valley

San fran McDermott Will & Emery last week hired a three-partner tax team from Palo Alto-based Fenwick & West in the latest push by traditional US firms to move into the tech-hit West Coast legal market.

The three partners – Fred Chilton, Paul Dau and John Ryan – are joining McDermotts’ Silicon Valley office, along with of counsel colleague James Garahan.
