Christine Lagarde has extended her tenure as chairman of Baker & McKenzie by an extra year in a bid to press home her strategy of integrating the firm’s massive global network of offices more tightly.
When Lagarde took over as chairman in October 1999 she accepted the role for three years, turning down an option for a full five-year term.
