Travers Smith Braithwaite is advising Harvey Nash Group on its placing and open offer to raise approximately £14.3m. The placing and open offer was announced on 22 February and is expected to be completed on 19 March. The proceeds will be used to repay existing debt and for working capital purposes. SJ Berwin is advising a syndicate led by JP Morgan Partners and Advent Venture Partners on the £25.5m equity investment in Microscience, a privately-owned biotech company focused on the discovery and development of innovative vaccines. The funds will be used to pay for clinical trials of five vaccines. Corporate finance partner Perry Yam is leading the deal. Shadbolt & Co, led by partner Andrew Trotter, advised Microscience.
