Top City firms are set to freeze pay this year for junior lawyers according to research by Legal Week.
In contrast to the previous two years, which have seen 25% pay hikes for junior lawyers taking the base pay for UK newly-qualifieds up to £50,000, City firms are this year intending to freeze their pay levels in light of the slowdown in corporate activity over the past 12 months.
