ABA fights terror law

The American Bar Association (ABA) is to lobby against anti-terrorist measures introduced in response to the 11 September attacks that threaten to water down legal privilege.

The ABA last week announced that Steptoe & Johnson partner Edward Krauland would head a taskforce to consider anti-money laundering measures contained in the Government’s Patriot Act.
