German lawyers are drawing up counter measures to avoid a 25% tax on their fees after a controversial court ruling extending trade tax to insolvency advisers.
The ruling at the end of last year by the country’s highest federal tax court means the fees of lawyers acting as trustees for insolvent companies will qualify for local state trade tax.
