The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has backed national restrictions on multidisciplinary partnerships (MDPs), effectively giving European Union bars a free hand to ban accountancy-tied practices.
The full ECJ ruling, handed down today (19 February), found in favour of the Dutch Bar; backing a preliminary opinion last year by the advocate general of the court.
