New definition of ‘design’
Since the changes to UK design law, in the form of the Registered Design Regulations 2001, design is now defined as ‘the appearance of the whole or a part of a product resulting from the features of, in particular, the lines, the contours, colours, shape, texture of materials of the product or its ornamentation’.
