Top City firms are preparing to launch new attacks on the Treasury after a clause within the Financial Services Authority’s (FSA) code on financial promotions has caused further confusion over the position of lawyers within the new regime.
The clause appears to exempt lawyers advising clients on a take-over from the financial promotions code.
