Haarmann Hemmelrath & Partner has become the first independent German firm to launch a local practice in Japan after forming a joint venture in Tokyo.
To allow the German multi-disciplinary practice to advise directly on local Japanese law, the firm has linked up with Tokyo-based corporate specialist Saburo Shimizu.
