French fees highest on Continent; European rates still lag well behind City fees

France has the highest charge out rates in Continental Europe, according to research published this month.
The figures, contained in the latest edition of PLC Global Counsel 3000, also show that despite massive investment in the European market by Anglo-Saxon firms, average partner charge out rates for commercial lawyers remain way behind UK rates.
