Following the tragic events of 11 September, many fund managers are taking greater consideration as to how they should be investing their money. One issue highlighted by the war in Afghanistan is the impact of the investments corporations make in armaments and nuclear weapons on our lives now and in the future.

As investors we have considerable power in determining the life or death of a company. Large corporations can now expect public condemnation from both the media and the world at large for ignoring issues such as child labour and human rights in general.
