WilliamsCMS Cameron McKenna, Linklaters and Theodore Goddard are sharing out the largest planning-related legal fees in UK history after the final decision was handed down last week in the controversial inquiry into the proposed fifth
terminal at Heathrow Airport.

Camerons last week (20 November) saw its client British Airports Authority (BAA) granted permission to build Terminal 5 after the UK’s longest planning inquiry. The costs of the inquiry to BAA, which owns Heathrow, amounted to £60m, including legal fees, experts’ fees, staff accommodation costs during the inquiry and general administration costs.
