Garretts has fought off competition from the property practices of Rowe & Maw and Clifford Chance to close the acquisition of a £235m portfolio of regional shopping centres by the Sapphire Retail Fund, a joint venture between the Stannifer Group and Bank of Scotland.
Head of property Keith Barnett led the team, together with partners Andrew Lewry and Deborah Kent. The Shopping Centres acquired are in Harlow, High Wycombe, Cardiff and Burnley. Together they comprise more than 350 units producing a rent roll of around £30m.
