Anyone who has ever had dealings with an Italian law firm will know that Italian lawyers do not retire – and that the definition of a ‘young gun’ is someone in their early 50s.
No surprise then, that Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom’s new Italian ally Chiomenti is led by 80-year-old Michele Carpinelli.
Yet despite his years Carpinelli is, by all accounts, something of a party animal. At any event he made it over for a bash at The Wallace Collection last week to celebrate the forging of the alliance.
