SJ Berwin’s sports business practice has bagged a new client in the shape of ukbetting, advising the online betting company on its £4.4m offer for the UK branded credit card company, Sportscard.
SJ Berwin won the work as a result of the long-standing relationship between ukbetting executive director Peter Dubens and corporate finance partner Jonathon Djanogly, who led the deal. “We have an existing relationship with Dubens and he is aware of our [focus] in the technology sector, sports and gaming businesses and our experience in acting for, and listing, AIM companies,” Djanogly told Legal Week.
