Koch, the unfortunately named foreign shipping group, certainly raised a titter this week with the news that it was attempting to have Richards Butler thrown off a major arbitration due to an alleged conflict.

In a High Court ruling, the judge made numerous references to Koch, not least when he mused on whether ‘Koch are to be deprived of the protection’.
However, the best was undoubtedly saved until last when the judge said that he was minded to grant the injunction banning Richards Butler from the arbitration unless the firm ‘offered more comfort to Koch’.
