Following the disastrous attack on the World Trade Centre on 11 September, many of the thousands of workers – including some 14,000 lawyers – who were displaced by the catastrophe owe the speed with which they were able to resume work to their firms’ technology systems.Also a help to those affected was the generosity of other organisations, including some rivals, which offered space and network access in their offices.There are many lessons to learn from the disaster.
