Simmons & Simmons has secured a major boost to its Asian practice by forming a ground-breaking joint venture with 12-partner Japanese firm TMI Associates – giving it the largest local law presence yet acquired by a City practice.
The deal is a coup for the 154-partner firm as it is the first City firm to secure a joint venture with a top Japanese practice. TMI Associates is the sixth largest Japanese firm with 44 bengoshi.
