FileNet, a major supplier of document management software to the legal sector, last week paid Kodak $4m (£2.8m) to settle a seven-year-old lawsuit.
The lawsuit against FileNet, over alleged patent infringement of technology for importing images, was filed in 1994 by Wang Laboratories – which used to supply IT systems to a great many law firms in the 1980s.
