US firm Latham & Watkins is to transfer one of its senior lawyers from Washington to its newly-acquired Frankfurt office as part of a bid to launch a leading finance practice in Germany.
The firm announced this week that partner John Watson, who specialises in securities issues and high yield debt, is to transfer to Frankfurt on 30 July. Watson’s US clients including investment banks Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and Bear Stearns.
