Hammond Suddards Edge has secured a merger with 13-partner Italian firm Rossotto & Associati.
The deal, first revealed in Legal Week in May, sees all partners at the Turin-based Rossotto joining the national firm’s partnership. The firm also has offices in Milan and Rome.
The deal means that Hammonds has now secured local law offices in continental Europe’s three largest legal centres following its decision in November last year to quit the referral group CLA Europe to build its own international network.
Earlier this year the firm merged with Paris practice Hausmann & Associes, at the same time also hiring five corporate partners from former CLA ally Knauthe Paul Schmitt to launch a practice in Munich.
The merger with Rossotto, best known for corporate, media and IP work, will be effective from January 2002 and brings a further 31 fee earners to Italy.
